Our Story

37 YEARS OF LUXURY FASHION AND BRIDAL ACCESSORIES

Established in 1988 in Melbourne with her father, Robert Biddle, this now third-generation family business of artisans thrives by staying true to its roots of original design, quality craftsmanship and being proudly Australian made.

Stephanie Browne is synonymous with creativity and is especially suited to women seeking stylish, on-trend and luxurious accessories that stand the test of time.

More recent collections include sterling silver and semi-precious earrings, necklaces, bracelets and brooches — pieces so refined you could easily mistake them for the real thing, making them perfect for travel jewellery.

Stephanie continues to design every piece in her collection, including statement earrings, bracelets, necklaces, hair accessories and wedding accessories. Her work is particularly inspired by the Art Deco and mid-century Hollywood eras.

In a world where gold and labour costs are constantly rising, our priority remains the same: to keep our pieces attainable, so every bride can feel radiant in a touch of Stephanie Browne luxury.

Each piece in her originally designed collection is handmade using the finest materials — diamond-cut crystal, freshwater pearls, sterling silver — along with her own custom-designed components. Every item is lovingly assembled in the Melbourne studio, where her artisan jewellers include her son, Andy.

Stephanie has created looks for thousands of brides over the years and is honoured to have played a small part in their special day. She has also designed for celebrity red-carpet appearances, galas, TV shows and films, including accessories and jewellery for The Dressmaker and, further afield, for Lady Gaga in American Horror Story: Hotel.

Stephanie’s flagship Melbourne boutique is located at 588 Chapel Street, South Yarra.

The boutique is open to the public Monday to Saturday, except during the summer months when trading is Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. No appointments are necessary.

The boutique also showcases feather jackets and vintage fur coats, along with a stunning collection of vintage and new evening and bridal bags.
